Survival Camp | Welcome, Adventurer!

Prepare yourself for an unforgettable adventure in the heart of the Achterhoek, where nature will challenge you, and your survival instincts will be put to the test. Our Survival Camp offers a unique opportunity to brave the wilderness and learn essential skills needed for outdoor survival.

During this Survival Camp, you’ll learn skills such as making fire without matches and, under the guidance of experienced instructors, discover how to build a safe shelter and survive with minimal resources. In addition to these vital skills, you’ll tackle the survival course on our grounds and embark on an epic 2-day canoe expedition! Along the way, you’ll bivouac by the water and stop to conquer the 37-meter-high factory chimney, “De Fakkel”, which you’ll climb as part of the adventure! Together with your fellow adventurers, you’ll overcome challenging obstacles and strengthen your team spirit.

This Survival Camp promises not only adventure but also lasting memories of your newfound knowledge and experiences in the great outdoors. Get ready to step out of your comfort zone and take on the ultimate challenge!

What you need to know
Where are you staying
The Survival Camp takes place at Markant Outdoor Centre in Braamt.

The large grounds of Markant Outdoor Centre provide the perfect location for a variety of camp activities and exciting (evening) games.

You’ll stay with participants from other Summer Camps on the campsite in group tents accommodating 4 to 8 people, equipped with beds. The campsite features a spacious central tent where everyone can gather during the day and evening, as well as private sanitary facilities. In case of bad weather, the large activity tent will be used frequently. Naturally, there’s also a campfire spot where you can share the day’s adventures with other Summer Campers your age in the evening.

During the 2-day canoe expedition, you’ll stay in small tents along the riverbank! Note: This is why your packing list includes a sleeping mat or air mattress—you’ll be sleeping elsewhere for one night. Due to limited luggage space during the expedition, it’s highly recommended to bring a sleeping mat.

The on-site restaurant is shared by participants from all camps for breakfast, lunch (or preparing packed lunches), and dinner.
