You think it’s important that animals are well taken care of. You can hardly go a day without animals. But many animals can’t do without you either!
Do you want to learn more about animal housing, nutrition, and health, or are you just completely crazy about animals? Then this animal care camp is perfect for you!
Are you between 8 and 12 years old? Then check out our Animal Camp!
What will you do during this animal camp?
During this camp, you’ll experience a week full of animals and adventure! The highlight of your camp week is a visit to the wildlife park in Anholt. There, you’ll be given a very special task: helping take care of the animals. You’ll create a food puzzle for the raccoons, prepare food for the impressive bison, and come face-to-face with foxes, badgers, lynxes, and even wolves. Be careful not to get too close!
You will also learn training techniques from a professional dog trainer and immediately put what you’ve learned into practice by assisting during a training session. We’ll explore Burgers’ Zoo together and meet adorable alpacas. It will be a week full of animal experiences, but of course, there’s also time for other fun activities, such as a scenic canoe trip and exciting evening games.
This is truly the perfect camp for real animal lovers!
Arrival for this camp is on Sunday between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The camp ends on Saturday between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

The Animal Care Camp takes place at the Base Camp of Markant Outdoor Centre in Braamt. The large outdoor grounds are the perfect location for many camp activities and exciting (evening) games.
The safari tents on the grounds each offer 12 sleeping places. Together with participants from other Summer Camps, you will stay in one of these tents. In addition to the group tents, the campsite has its own sanitary facilities and a large central tent. This tent is used for various activities during bad weather. And of course, the campfire area is not missing — the perfect place to share the adventures of the day with other Summer Campers your age.
Breakfast, lunch (preparing your own packed lunch), and dinner take place in the on-site restaurant.
