All of our youth camps take place at Markant Outdoorcentrum in Braamt. This is the location where participants from different summer camps eat, sleep, and enjoy activities together throughout the entire summer. Many of the outdoor activities take place on our 12-hectare outdoor terrain, including climbing, raft building, canoeing, mountain biking, and survival challenges. You can join an exciting night hike or spooky tour, or simply relax in the sun at the beach of the Stroombroek recreational area. Our youth camps are available for ages 12–14 and 14–16. Check below to see if your favourite camp is included!

The Location of Our Youth Camps

Markant Outdoorcentrum is located in the village of Braamt, in the middle of the Stroombroek recreational area in the Achterhoek region. It’s an amazing location surrounded by nature and the home base for all of our kids and youth camps. The outdoor centre has its own event terrain with a recreational lake, where many outdoor activities take place such as climbing, ziplining, archery, survival activities, mountain biking, canoeing, raft building, and much more!

At the centre of the terrain, right by the water, you’ll find the restaurant “Woodies”. From the terrace, you have a view over the entire area. All Summer Campers enjoy breakfast and dinner together here each day. The meals are freshly prepared by the restaurant’s chef. Parents or guardians dropping off or picking up participants are also welcome to enjoy a drink here. During the camps, the restaurant is also used for activities such as movie night and the final evening party.

A Summer Camp Experience You Share Together

During a camp week, several youth camps take place at the same time. So, if you book a Wakeboard Summer Camp, you might be staying together with participants from an Adventure Camp, Freerun Camp, International Camp, Fun Camp, or Chill Camp. Everyone follows their own day or morning programme, but there are also many shared activities, games, and evening events for all campers together.

Your own camp group may consist of around 15 participants, while the total group at camp can include up to 65 teenagers of the same age. This unique combination is exactly what makes a summer camp at Summer Camps Holland so much fun!

Staying at Our Campgrounds

The outdoor centre has a large, fully equipped campsite surrounded by trees and nature. Here, our Summer Campers aged 12–16 stay in group tents equipped with beds. On average, 5–6 participants sleep in one tent. In addition to the sanitary facilities, the campsite also includes a large communal tent and several campfire areas.

We also have a safari campsite on the terrain. These are larger safari tents placed on wooden platforms, where participants sleep in bunk beds. On average, 10–12 participants stay in one safari tent. The safari campsite also has its own sanitary facilities.

Where you stay depends on the camp you choose. In general, participants of the International Camp, Fun Camp, Fun & Theme Park Camp, and Animal Care Camp stay at the safari campsite. Participants of the other youth camps stay at the group campsite.
