UPDATE 18-1-2021
In 2020 we were able to organise the summer camps under certain conditions. In the spring and summer of 2021, we would like to experience another fantastic summer camp period. But even then we will have to deal with Corona measures. This means that when organising camps, we must take into account the measures that are in place at the time. If it is determined by law that we are not allowed to organise summer camps, we will be forced to cancel the summer camps. In that case, you as a client will get your money back.
Our expectation is that we will be able to organise the camps in 2021. There is a chance that the crew at our youth camps will have to keep 1.5 metres distance from each other and the teenagers. We are used to this and this is also how we organised the summer camps last year!

Unexpected extension regarding the Corona guidelines from July 1st!
Since the press conference of June 24th, the guidelines proposed by the government regarding the Coronavirus offer measures which are less strict than the Summer Camps Corona protocol prescribes. Logically, we are very happy with the new guidelines proposed by the government which make it possible to organize the summer camps for the ages up to and including 18 years without having to take into an account the 1.5 meter policy. The new guidelines make it a lot more fun and easy for all Summer Camps participants and Crew. In relation to Summer Camps, the most relevant and important extensions are the following:
The protocol below (created early June) remains the basis for our Summer Camps which may be used in case the emergency ordinance of the government is tightened and there are more restrictions. All agreements with regard to the use of sanitary facilities, grounds/accommodation and arrival/departure of participants will be maintained as described in our protocol.
In addition, we share our working method with the security region and municipality. In short, we are doing everything we can this summer to offer children and teens an unforgettable holiday within the possibilities that exist in this rare period. The starting points of our protocol are the extensions that have been announced by the government the 1st of July. The extensions include the use of shared sanitary facilities and gathering up to a maximum of 100 people at one place. However, as the government also indicates, the extensions only remain when the positive developments of the current moment persist.

The summer is getting closer. We, the organization of Summer Camps Holland, are putting in a lot of work in order to organize the upcoming summer camps in a responsible manner. In order to organize our camps responsibly, we are complying to the protocols developed by the branch organization (HISWA-RECRON).
The protocols created by the branch organization are overarching to all the activities included in the organized summer camps by Summer Camps Holland. In addition, the ‘steunpunt kindervakanties’ has a stake in the development of the protocols with regard to the organization of the summer camps for kids and teenagers. Furthermore, our working method is shared with the security region and the local authority. In short, we do as much we can to organize unforgettable summer camps this year.
More practically, the organization of the summer camps this year is based upon the guidelines provided by the government on the first of july regarding the COVID-19 situation. The guidelines, amongst others, include that it is allowed to use shared sanitary facilities and gatherings of 100 persons at one place. However, the guideline which belong to the current regulations regarding COVID-19 will only continue if the decreasing trend regarding the virus sustains.
In a nutshell, the current guidelines signify the following for camps up to and from thirteen years:
Camps up to the age of 13 years The so called 1.5 meter policy is not in full force and effect to the age group up to 13 years, only to the crew. Though, We handle a strict hygiene policy within this age group.
Camps from the age of 13 years The so called 1.5 meter policy is in full force and effect to the age group from 13 years. Besides the strict hygiene policy, the activities, the general program and the overnight stays are organized while taking into an account the 1.5 meter policy. Potentially, the intended usage of the 1.5 meter policy does not have to be maintained. At this time, consultations with regard to this subject are being held with the ministry. The outcome of the consultations will be communicated as soon as the situation is clear.
Worldwide we are dealing with the Corona virus and it is uncertain how this will develop. Markant Outdoorcentrum follows the orders and regulations from the government, GGD and RIVM. This page keeps track of the newest updates.
