You find it important that animals are well cared for. You can not live without animals, but animals can not live without you either! If you want to know more about housing, food and animal health or when you're just crazy about animals, the Animal Care Camp is perfect for you!
The highlight of the week is a visit to the wild animals park in Anholt, Germany. Here it will be your responsibility to take care of the animals. You make a 'feed puzzle' for the raccoons and you are in charge of the fodder for the big, impressive bison. Under the watchful eye of the animal carer you'll be standing eye to eye with fox, badger, lynx and even the wolf!
A real dog trainer teaches you the tricks of the trade and you can bring all your acquired knowledge to the test by assisting at a lesson. We'll be roaming around Burgers' Zoo located in the town of Arnhem. This Camp's week you’ll share the responsibility for the care of the miniature horse on the premises of Markant Outdoorcentrum as well.
A week with nothing but animals, but there is always time for a relaxed canoe trip and other chill activities. This is a camp for the true animal lover!
The Animal Care Camp takes place at the Base Camp of Markant Outdoor Center in Braamt. The expansive grounds of Markant Outdoor Center provide the perfect setting for numerous camp activities and exciting (evening) games.
The safari tents on the premises offer 12 sleeping spaces. You will stay in one of these tents along with participants from other Summer Camps. In addition to the group tents, the camping area has its own sanitary facilities and a large central tent. This tent is used for various activities during inclement weather. Of course, the campfire spot is not to be missed, providing the opportunity to share the day's adventures with other Summer Campers of your age around the fire in the evening.
Breakfast, lunch (preparing packed lunches), and dinner take place in the restaurant on the premises.
