The inspiration for our Summer Camps stems from our own childhood summer camps experience as well as our leadership knowledge in the many camps we led in the past. Summer Camps Holland have been organising children and youth holidays in the Netherlands and the Ardennes in Belgium. We find it important that each child should have fun at camp. Each year we are happy to see familiar faces warmly greeting each other. We often hear that coming back to Summer Camps feels somewhat like coming home.
One whole week of eating together, sleeping in the group accommodation or in a tent, going on adventure tours and sharing your stories around the campfire. In the past people only made friends for the duration of the camp. But today we notice that through social media friendships are continued after camp and that many youngsters plan a summer camp week together for the following year. Nowadays going on Summer Camps, means you are making friends for life!
Summer Camps Holland want to encourage children and youngsters to spend more time outside. And to get away from their busy daily life. A whole week without computer, television, PlayStation and cell phones. At Summer Camps you can be free from all of that for a while and get active / play all day in the open air. We want children to return home with fun stories and beautiful memories to share with parents, carers, family and friends.
Over the last years more and more children from all over Europe are coming to camp at Summer Camps Holland and lately many children from Asia as well. We think this is a wonderful development! You’ll be in contact with different cultures & languages and after camp you might have made friends who live on the other side of the world! Some children don’t speak Dutch, which is a great opportunity for you to practice your English. But if you find this a bit too difficult, the crew can always help you out! At the end of the summer you may have even learned a few words of Chinese?!
