Underneath you will find an overview of all our camps in 2025. Both Summer camps in the Netherlands and in Belgium. Categorise on location, theme, age, time period or duration.
For over 14 years, Summer Camps Holland has been organizing summer camps and spring break camps for children and teenagers! This includes Sailing Camps in Friesland, Adventure Camps in the Belgian Ardennes, and more than 25 different summer camps at our Base Location in Gelderland.
At the Summer Camps Holland site, summer camps are organized for both children and teens. The children’s camps are for ages 8-10 and 10-12, while the youth camps cater to teens aged 12-14 and 14-16. As mentioned above, children sleep in the group accommodation during the summer camp, while the teens camp out on the campsite. This creates two separate camp areas during the summer, each with its own dedicated crew and unique program, ensuring an unforgettable summer camp experience!
The summer camps at Summer Camps Holland are divided into various types or categories, each with its own set of activities. Below, you’ll find a description of the different categories and the camps that fall under them.
When thinking of sports camps, you might imagine a summer camp at a local hockey or football club. At Summer Camps, we take it a step further by combining sports with outdoor adventure—a unique combination! We organize Bike Camps, Wakeboarding Camps, and Freerunning Camps. Each sports camp follows a similar structure.
Each day, you'll train with a coach to improve in your chosen sport. Wakeboarders will head to the wakeboarding park, Bike Camp participants will go to a BMX track, and Freerunners will visit an urban sports park in Doetinchem. After returning, various outdoor activities take place at the center, such as archery, raft building, and zip-lining.
All sports camps take place at our location in Braamt (Gelderland). Children aged 8-12 stay in the group accommodation, while teens aged 12-16 camp out in group tents. During the camp, you’ll also join participants from other camps for activities like swimming, night hikes, and games around the campsite.
We don’t organize standard language camps where the goal is to attend lessons and fully learn a language. Instead, we offer an International Camp where the primary language is English. This camp is especially designed for teens who enjoy learning about other cultures. Of course, it also helps improve English speaking skills. The program combines outdoor activities with fun trips, such as a visit to Moviepark Germany.
Since the founding of Summer Camps, our Adventure Camps for children and teens have been some of the most popular choices. As the name suggests, these summer camps are packed with adventurous activities and excursions. Children will go canoeing, raft building, and visit a climbing forest, while teens will camp out in the wild, go mountain biking in the woods, and try wakeboarding.
Looking for a truly adventurous camp? Check out our Canoe Expedition Camp. During this week-long summer camp, you’ll paddle along an adventurous canoe route in Germany, camping each night at nature campsites by the water.
Our animal camps are divided into Animal Camps for children and Animal Care Camps for teens. In both camps, everything revolves around animals. Kids will visit an ostrich farm, the Apenheul primate park, and help out on a farm. For teens, the focus is even more on animal care. They’ll go behind the scenes at Anholt Animal Park, work with a dog trainer, and visit Burgers' Zoo. As with all our camps, there will also be plenty of fun outdoor activities at our own outdoor center.
In addition to these camps, we also offer Adventure Camps in the Ardennes and Sailing Camps at other locations.
For the younger adventurers among us, we have the perfect summer camps in store! Children aged 8 to 12 are warmly invited to join a week full of excitement, games, and teamwork. At Summer Camps Holland, we understand that this age group needs a safe environment where they can be themselves and make new friends.
Our activities are carefully selected to challenge children both physically and mentally, with a healthy mix of sports, games, outdoor fun, and creativity. They learn to work together in teams, develop their social skills, and build their confidence. And, of course, all of this takes place outdoors, in the fresh air, surrounded by beautiful nature.
With years of experience organizing summer camps, we know exactly what children need to have an amazing time. Our camp leaders are professional and passionate about working with children. Additionally, we provide a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels welcome and valued.
For older children and young teens, we offer a program that is just as exciting and challenging, but tailored to their age and interests. The summer camps for ages 12 to 16 focus on adventure, self-discovery, and embracing new challenges.
At this age, children are ready for more responsibility and freedom, which is exactly what we provide. They get the chance to try new activities, from climbing and abseiling to creative workshops. At the same time, they learn important life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and taking responsibility.
At Summer Camps Holland, we take pride in our ability to balance fun with personal development. We believe that summer camps offer a unique opportunity for children to grow and learn, and we are committed to creating an environment that makes this possible.
And of course, there is plenty of time to relax and form new friendships. Our camps are the perfect place to meet peers and create memories that will last a lifetime.
We have three different locations where we organize our summer camps.
In Braamt, the "parent company" Markant Outdoor Centre is located. This 12-hectare site is where we organize most of our summer camps. It is the home base where campers of different camps and ages eat and sleep together, and where various outdoor activities from the program take place.
Address: Gildeweg 7, 7047 AR Braamt.
In the Ardennes, we organize two active summer camps. The campsite is beautifully situated between the mountains, and the camps here are organized by Mountain Network.
Address: Ferme de Pont á Lesse, 5500 Anseremme-Dinant, Belgium.
In Friesland, our partner organization Neptunis is located in a beautiful spot by the water. This is where all our sailing camps take place.
Address: Bramerstraat 66-68, 8523 NJ Idskenhuizen.
The summer camps take place during the summer holidays and last for one week, starting on Sunday and ending on Saturday. Every summer, we organize 6 or 7 weeks of camps.
Exceptions are our 4-day camps for children aged 8-10 and 10-12. These camps last 4 days, from Sunday to Wednesday, and can be extended to one week during the camp. Our spring break camps during the May holiday also last 4 days.
The costs of our camps vary; below is an overview of the estimated costs per category:
All youth and children's camps in Gelderland have their own unique activity programs. The activities for each camp are clearly outlined on the camp pages. For a general overview, the activities can be divided into different groups.
Every summer camp in Gelderland conducts a (large) portion of its activities at our own outdoor location. Everything is available here for the most exciting outdoor activities, such as canoeing, paddleboarding, climbing, zip-lining, archery tag, survival challenges, archery, scootering, mountain biking, and raft building.
During a camp week, you'll participate in many activities with peers—not just with those from your own camp, but also with children or teens from other summer camps taking place that week. Many of the outdoor activities mentioned above are done together.
Various evening games are also organized for the entire group, such as night hikes, live-action Clue, or live-action Stratego.
In addition to the activities at the outdoor location, there are also many excursions, often tied to the theme of the chosen camp. For example, the kids from the Animal Camp visit the Apenheul primate park, and the teens from the Adventure Camp go to a climbing park. Throughout the week, minibuses are used to visit various off-site locations. Common excursions include:
The activities at our Ardennes Camps are packed with adventure and excitement. Think hiking, climbing & abseiling, rock climbing, via ferrata, and mountain biking. At the Sailing Camps in Friesland, sailing is, of course, the central focus, with theory lessons, water games, and various sports and games as fun diversions.
Summer Camps Holland is part of Markant Outdoor Centre in Braamt, a 12-hectare site that organizes group activities for families, companies, schools, and associations throughout the year. During the summer holidays, the site transforms into a "summer camp paradise," the ultimate destination for children's and youth camps.
The location is divided into an activity area, parking lot, overnight accommodation(s), recreational pond, and a catering area with a terrace. This setup provides everything needed to organize unforgettable summer camps.
There are two camping grounds set up for youth aged 12-14 and 14-16. The group camping ground is an accommodation area equipped with several group tents. These tents are furnished with beds, allowing approximately five people to sleep in one tent.
The safari camping ground features large safari tents on platforms, furnished with bunk beds. On average, 10-12 summer campers sleep in one tent. Both camping grounds have their own sanitary facilities and a shared group tent.
Children aged 8-10 and 10-12 stay in group accommodations. This building has six rooms for six people, allowing a total of 36 participants to stay. The building is equipped with its own kitchen, toilets, and showers.
The site has its own restaurant, where catering company Woodies! Food and Drink takes care of all meals and beverages on a daily basis. All summer camp participants come to the restaurant for breakfast and to make their own lunch packs for the afternoon. In the evening, everyone dines together. Woodies specializes in catering for groups and is well-versed in handling dietary needs and allergies. These can be specified when registering for the camp, ensuring that a special meal is always available.
