What are you doing this summer? At Neptunus you’ll learn sailing or surfing in a fun way. Floating gently on the water or sailing or surfing with the wind sweeping through your hair? In the Sail Camps you’ll be on the water every day.
The sailing camps of Summer Camps Holland are run by Sail and Surf school Neptunus from the village of the Frisian Idskenhuizen near the town of Joure. Neptunus is a quality water sports school. After your active participation in the Sail Camp you receive your diploma or progress report. Both list all the skills that you have mastered which are then signed off by your instructor. The Sail Camps are for the various age groups from 8 through 18.
Sailing School Neptunus is located in the heart of the Frysian lakes in the province of Friesland, The Netherlands. The groups will sail from the sailing school to the nearby lake of Idskenhuizen where a good part of the lessons take place.
The lake’s shallow waters make for some quiet sailing. This is ideal for the beginning sailor, because you have the lake virtually all to yourself. The lake has a jetty and we have our own surfing beach.
The accommodation is truly special! The main building of the sailing school is housed in a former church. The church has been comfortably refurbished to include a dining hall and kitchen for the evening meals on the first floor. The dorms all have 2, 3 or 4 bunkbeds, which means that you'll always share the room with the children of your age group. The older children sleep in ”Het Dorpshuis”, right across from the church.
Nutritious breakfasts and evening meals are served in the dining hall. The food is prepared by the cook of the restaurant facilities. For additional information, please check our info booklet.
