Camp Organisation: Summer Camps Holland
Summer Camps Holland has been organising the most exciting summer camps in the Netherlands and the Ardennes for 14 years at three locations in Friesland, Gelderland and the Ardennes. Summer Camps Holland’s main location is in Gelderland, where we organise camps with all kinds of different themes such as animal camps, adventure camps, fun camps, and sports camps. In Friesland, Summer Camps organises the coolest sailing camps at sailing school Neptunus. In the Ardennes, kids can join the climbing and adventure camps and take part in all the challenging activities for a whole week!
International Summer Camp
Summer Camps Holland also organises a special International Summer Camp during which the main language is English and with an entire English-speaking crew. The International Camp brings together children from all parts of the world for an unforgettable summer camp. They will get to know different customs and cultures and make friends for life and from all around the world! Such a camp may have children from Germany, Russia, Ghana, China, the Netherlands, and England, all living and playing together, how wonderful is that! The week will be filled with all kinds of fun activities like swimming in a subtropical indoor pool, Archery Tag, a dropping, scaling the climbing tower, raft building, and even a visit to Moviepark Germany!
Speaking English during the Summer Camp?
Summer Camps Holland is a Dutch organisation. Still, as the name suggests, Summer Camps Holland also welcomes many children from other countries. The main language used at the camps is Dutch but, generally, all camps also include children from other nationalities, who either live abroad or in the Netherlands but don’t speak Dutch yet. All camps have English-speaking crew members who will be able to translate if this is necessary. Activities, sailing instructions or evening games are first explained in Dutch and then in English. Aside from the crew members, many Dutch children speak English surprisingly well. Some kids may feel a bit awkward speaking English at first, but they soon get used to it and hugely enjoy it after a while! Kid camps and youth camps
Summer Camps Holland organises kids camps for the age groups 8-10 and 10-12, and youth camps for the age groups 12-14 and 14-16. We also have a summer camp in the Ardennes for the age group 16-18. All camps are organised for one week, from Sunday to Saturday, and take place from week 29 to week 35. Are you interested in an unforgettable summer camp?
